Who Is The Current Minister Of State For Youth Development In Nigeria?
The current Minister of State for Youth Development in Nigeria is Ayodele Olawande, and he took office on October 16, 2023, under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Ayodele Olawande was born on April 8, 1986, in Ondo State, located in the southwestern region of Nigeria. He completed his secondary education at Christ School in Ekiti State.
After that, he attended the Federal Polytechnic in Ado-Ekiti, where he furthered his education. In his political career, Ayodele Olawande has held several positions.
From 2019 to 2023, he served in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the Personal Assistant to the Special Adviser on Innovation to the Vice President.
On October 16, 2021, he was elected as the Ondo State APC Youth Leader. Two years later, on October 16, 2023, he was sworn in as the Minister of State for Youth Development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Apart from his political roles, Ayodele Olawande has also worked in different professional capacities. He served as a Site Administrator/Engineer at Renz Nigeria Limited from 2019 to 2022.
Also, he was the Director of Business at TEHUB in 2020 and the Director of Operations at LAHHOMES in the same year. Additionally, he worked as a Field Officer at IDP/NSIP NSIO from 2020 to 2021.
