1. Musa Mohammed Sani
One of the current senators representing Niger State includes Mohammed Sani Musa, who is the current Senator for Niger East Senatorial District.
Born on May 11, 1965, in Minna, Niger State, Musa holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University.
He’s affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has a robust political background. Musa has had various legislative positions since assuming office in July 2019, notably as Chairman of the Committee on Finance.

2. Sani Bello Abubakar
Abubakar Sani Bello, popularly known as Lolo, currently serves as the senator representing the Niger North Senatorial District.
He took office on June 13, 2023, succeeding Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi. Born on December 17, 1967, in Niger State, Nigeria, Abubakar Sani Bello is the son of former military Governor of old Kano state, Col. Sani Bello.
He attended St. Louis primary school in Kano from 1974 to 1979 and later the Nigerian Military School from 1980 to 1985.
Bello pursued higher education at the University of Maiduguri, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1991. Bello served as the governor of Niger State from 2015 to 2023 before becoming the senator.
A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he succeeded Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu as governor and was later succeeded by Mohammed Umar Bago.
His political career began with his victory in the APC gubernatorial primaries for the 2015 election in Niger State, defeating Senator Musa Ibrahim with 3,829 votes.
Thereafter, he won the general election, securing 593,709 votes, and was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on April 13, 2015.
He was reelected as governor on March 9, 2019. Bello has demonstrated commitment to party unity and development, endorsing a Reconciliation Committee and other committees at a State Executive Committee meeting on August 24, 2020. These efforts aimed to rebuild and reposition the APC for improved performance in the 2023 elections.

3. Jiya Peter Ndalikali
Peter Jiya Ndalikali, a Nigerian politician is one of the three senators currently representing Niger State. Presently, he represents the Niger South district in the 10th National Assembly.
In the recent elections, Jiya Peter Ndalikali contested under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), having secured a total of 100,498 votes, winning the election with a margin of 3,045 votes.
His closest competitor was Bima Muhammad Enagi, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party. Enagi had 97,453 votes in the election.
