How Many House Of Assembly Members Are In Nasarawa State?

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly is made up of 24 members, who are elected from different constituencies across the state. These members represent the diverse interests and concerns of the people they serve.

Danladi Jatau

Danladi Jatau, representing Kokona West Constituency, is currently serving as the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

He was unanimously elected to this position by the members of the assembly In Dec. 2023. Mohammed Oyanki, who represents Doma North Constituency, has been appointed Deputy Speaker.

The decision to fill these leadership roles came after the former Speaker, Ibrahim Abdullahi, was removed from his position by the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja.

However, Danladi Jatau is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while Mohammed Oyanki belongs to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
