Largest Local Government in Kebbi State By Population
The largest Local Government Area (LGA) in Kebbi State by population is Birnin Kebbi, with an estimated population of about 458,900 as of 2022.
Birnin Kebbi is not only the state capital but also a center for administration, business, and culture. Its location along the Niger River improves agriculture and makes transportation and trade easier.
However, the economy of Birnin Kebbi is mostly based on farming. Birnin Kebbi has a rich history and culture. It was once part of the Sokoto Caliphate and still has historical sites, such as the Kanta Museum. This museum holds important artifacts that show the area’s past.
