The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in Nigeria was set up in 2023 by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

And, the main reason for creating this ministry was to tackle important issues about food security and agricultural development in the country.

However, there were growing problems with food production, changes in the climate, and economic pressures that made it harder for the agricultural sector.

Because of these issues, there was a need for a special ministry that would focus only on agriculture and food security. This new ministry aims to make sure that Nigeria can produce enough food and support its farmers better.
