Who Is The Current Minister Of State For Education In Nigeria?
The current Minister of State for Education in Nigeria is Dr. Yusuf Sununu. He took office on August 21, 2023, along with the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, after being appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dr. Yusuf Sununu is a medical doctor specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. Before becoming the Minister of State for Education, he represented the Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski Federal Constituency of Kebbi State in the House of Representatives.
He also served on the Board of Management at the Federal Medical Center in Katsina and the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital in Sokoto.
As the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Sununu’s job is to help the Minister of Education tackle the many problems in Nigeria’s education sector.
Dr. Sununu has said he is committed to working with Prof. Mamman to improve the education system and make sure Nigerian students get a good education.
